Boys Soccer
On Saturday, September 6, the Columbus Academy varsity boys soccer team will play its first-ever game in Crew Stadium.  Everyone is invited to the 3:30 p.m. game against Cincinnati Mariemont, which will be followed by an optional catered tailgate in a preferred parking lot just south of the stadium before the Crew's 7:30 p.m. game against rival New England.  If you purchase your tickets by August 25, you get a discounted ticket of $16 (down from $26) for both games.  You must present a Crew ticket for admittance to both games.  Also, a preferred paved parking spot is $10 while an unpaved field parking spot is $7.  To purchase tickets and parking passes, contact any boys soccer varsity team member, the CA athletics department at 509-2253 or Doug McCloud at drmccloud@earthlink.net or 296-3902.  Click here for an event flyer.

PACA News
Clothing Drive
The Parents' Association of Columbus Academy (PACA) will once again be collecting donations for the "Kids for Kids" Holiday Clothing Drive.  So if you are cleaning closets and don't want to store the unused items until November, a truck will be located in the Art Entrance/Lower School turnaround on September 4 from 7:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. so that you can drop off your gently used clothing (sizes infant through adult), toys, books and bicycles.  We ask that you separate dress code clothing from other clothing and encourage you to bring winter coats of all sizes.  For more information, please contact Ann Boeckman at 253-3108 or rpboeckman@aol.com.

Charlie David DinnerAlso, please mark your calendars now for the 26th Annual Charlie David Dinner on October 10.  It will be an evening of food, fun and games for the kids culminating in the football team's 7:30 p.m. home game against Heath.  Over the next two months, keep an eye out for more details on this very popular event.
